To know more about each ingredient in detail, you can check out this website INCIDecoder. I’ve come across this website recently. For product ingredient analysis (risks/benefits), my go-to trusted websites are Paula’s Choice and Truth-in-aging and this site Incidecoder is the newest addition. It’s easy to search and you get all the information at one place! Hope you find this information useful. By the way, which site do you recommend for checking ingredients?

How to use:
1)After cleansing, use a toner to refine skin texture.2) Take out the mask from the package and remove the film. Evenly adhere it to the entire face, avoiding eye & lip area. 3) Remove the sheet after 10-20 minutes and gently pat to allow the remaining formula to absorb into the skin.
My Experience With Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask- Madecassoside:
Before I start reviewing this sheet mask, let me share why I chose it in the first place. If you have read my previous blog posts, you might know about my damaged skin condition. To calm down the skin irritation and improve the skin texture, I thought of incorporating sheet masks that are targeted towards these skin concerns. Although I know the results are temporary, I find them to be super helpful and refreshing skincare stuff.

What’s so special about this ingredient- Madecassoside?
Madecassoside is an active ingredient derived from the plant Centella Asiatica. Centella Asiatica is a medicinal plant which is widely used in Ayurvedic medicines and skin care for its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. Madecassoside ingredient (one of the prime active molecules found in Centella) is great for acne-prone, sensitive skin because of its anti-redness, anti-itching, anti-ageing, skin-healing and anti-inflammatory properties.
So now you know why I selected this sheet mask 😊! Coming to its packaging-
Product packaging:
Innisfree skin clinic mask madecassoside comes wrapped with a thin clear film packaged in a moisture-proof foil pouch. The packaging design is sober and has all the details related to the mask in both the Korean and English languages.

Product performance:
Innisfree skin clinic madecassoside mask has respective cutouts for the nose and eye area. I wish I could say, I’ve found a sheet mask that fits my face nicely! Sigh!! However, I noticed fewer wrinkles form when I wear this mask, unlike other sheet masks that go beyond my facial shape.
Results after using this mask!! |
Upon wearing, it imparts a cooling sensation to the skin (I keep masks in the fridge for extra cooling effect) and feels extremely lightweight almost like a second skin! The mask is saturated with the right amount of essence hence it’s absolutely non-dripping. After removing the mask, I gently pat my skin so that the essence gets absorbed into the skin really well.
Not much essence is left! |
As always, I apply the remaining serum (left in the pouch) on my hands and neck.
Post the mask removal, my skin feels great. It makes the skin look & feel incredibly moisturized, luminous and glowing and not greasy!! The effect lasts up to one-two days, that’s a big plus.
