Lunar New Year 2019, AIA TGE Carnival Hong Kong|| Celebration, Fun & My OOTD

Kung Hei Fat Choi!
2019 is the year of Pig and Hong Kong is all adorned with red lanterns, seasonal decorative pieces, flowers and cute pig figurines. It’s been three years, we are living in Hong Kong but I never made any blog post on either Chinese New Year or AIA Great European Carnival!  So without any delay, let me show you what I wore to the events, look details along with the vibrant pictures from 3-days long Chinese New Year & AIA Carnival 2019.

Want to get the Christmas or Chinese New Year vibe? Head over to Lee Tung Avenue, located at the heart of Wan Chai, Hong Kong. Every year first we visit this place to get a glimpse of their theme based decoration and then we move to other places.

This year too on the second day of Chinese New Year, we went to Lee Tung Avenue. It is a wonderful place for shopaholics and foodies as the avenue is lined up with overseas fashion outlets & gourmet restaurants. By the way, it’s one of the tourist attractions in Hong Kong!

Chinese New Year is incomplete without watching Firework Show, right? So after taking a few pictures, we headed towards Central Pier. MTR is the easiest option to commute from Wan Chai to Central station within a few minutes. You can watch the Fire Work Show from different places in Hong Kong but we selected Central as it’s close to our home.

The Great European Carnival is celebrating its 5th anniversary in HK and takes place on the Central Harbourfront Event Space every year. The entry is not free; you need to book the tickets to enjoy the fun activities. This year we visited Gandeys Circus as well and thoroughly enjoyed that 1-hour show. The stunts, aerial acts were stupendous and that RUBBER Man’s act was mind blowing!! Remember, while purchasing the circus tickets; book your place for zone D or E to get the best view of all acts.

AIA Carnival is an excellent place for adventure freaks who love thrilling rides. There are several game booths where you can play using your tokens (received with tickets) but we unfortunate fellows, couldn’t win a single soft toy! By the way, the carnival will end on 17th Feb this year so if you are in Hong Kong, do not miss out on this event.

I was sweating like hell due to humid weather!

For the Chinese New Year event, I opted for a simple (old but never worn) checked full sleeve top with front knot design and paired it with black jeans, white sneakers. I love the detailing and the fitting of this top and you all know, olive green is my current favourite colour, hence wore it finally this year.

I accessorized my look with these cute earrings (gifted by my sister) and a rose gold coloured belt.
