As far as the ingredients are concerned, this flip balm is composed of some amazing skin loving ingredients as well as some well-known irritants. However, the plus point is that all undesirable ingredients like benzyl alcohol or amyl cinnamal are placed at the end of the list (means the concentration of these chemicals is pretty low) hence no need to worry!!

 

My Experience With Palmer’s Flip Balm Juicy Watermelon (Review):

I have dry, chapped lips so lip balm is a staple in my skincare stash. Till date, I have tried numerous lip balms (though reviewed only a few :D) but only some could impress me! Palmer’s products are generally renowned for their nourishing qualities; let’s see if it’s worth the try!

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Flip Balm Juicy Watermelon comes in a cute egg-shaped peach coloured container secured with a sturdy flip lid. The container further comes enclosed in a cardboard packaging wherein all the product related information is mentioned. Overall, the packaging is visually appealing, easy to open & close and travel-friendly!

Texture:

Palmer’s Juicy Watermelon Flip Balm looks off-white coloured but is transparent on lips and has a thick, balm (ex. amrutanjan) sort of texture. It has a mild fragrance but not at all related to watermelon scent!!

How I use it?

It has the simplest, fun kind of design. All you need to do is just FLIP IT & USE IT!! 

Performance:

I am in love with Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Juicy Watermelon Flip Balm and why not! I have been using this lip balm since last one year yet I couldn’t finish it. With other lip balms, I need to reapply them at least 4-5 times a day to moisturize my lips thus they get emptied soon as well. But with this flip balm, I don’t need to reapply that often. I use it only after lunch and before hitting the bed at night. It keeps my lips hydrated for a good period of time and that makes me super happy. 

Texture!

It glides on the lips like butter (okay, it has cocoa & shea butter 😜) and also can be used under lipsticks as it is a non-tinted one. I do have a bad habit of licking my lips! Now, this lip balm doesn’t taste like watermelon or any kind of fruit as such, but that’s fine with me. The real pain is my husband totally dislikes its artificial scent & taste so from his end it’s not kiss-approved (LOL)!! I need to moisturise my lips with my other fruity-flavoured lip balms when he is around 😉. Therefore note that its scent might bother people with a sensitive nose.

Another thing which I do not enjoy is its packaging! Although the design is fun & quirky, it has several disadvantages too! The initial first few days, the application was quite easy. I just flipped it and applied the balm on my lips. But as the time passed by the things got messier!! The product edges started to touch my fingers while opening the product, the balm spreads around my mouth whenever I apply it in hurry. Now, I have to use my fingers to apply it on my lips neatly, so unhygienic!! Hence, I don’t think the shape of this product is convenient for people on the go.

To conclude,

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Flip Balm Juicy Watermelon is a long-lasting moisturizing lip balm that instantly hydrates your lips upon application. I absolutely love the quality of this lip balm but not at all impressed with its design. I would prefer using the traditional stick version than this flip one as I feel tube/stick packaging to be more handy and hygienic.
