My Experience with Lotus Botanicals HydraDetox Refreshing Face Mist:
(Skin Type: Combination, sensitive and acne-prone)
I received this face mist as a PR sample a year ago. It’s about to run out, so I thought I’d share my experience with all of you today. After the Innisfree Hydrating Green Tea Face Mist, this nourishing toner holds a special place in my skincare arsenal.

How I use:
After cleansing my skin, I spray this mist from a foot away and let it air dry. You only need a small amount of this mist to moisturise your skin, so one spray is enough.
Product Performance:
This Lotus natural green tea hydra detox mist sprays evenly and uniformly onto the skin. Upon application, it takes a while to absorb. Although it feels slightly heavy and sticky, it always leaves my skin feeling super soft, radiant and refreshed. It also helps minimise the appearance of pores to a great extent. I recently noticed open pores on my face and I am not happy about it 🙃.
Since it’s infused with nourishing ingredients like Niacinamide, Aloe Vera and Cucumber, it instantly makes skin softer and imparts a nice glow. But it tastes bitter (ugh), so be sure not to open your mouth while spraying it on your face!
During winter when my skin turns super dry, I always follow it up with my hydrating serums, moisturisers and facial oil. However, in the summertime, I simply apply a lightweight hydrating moisturiser on top of it. This face mist is truly nourishing, so I can easily skip a step or two in my regular skincare routine without a second thought.
Performance //Lotus Botanicals HydraDetox Face Mist |
I love how it moisturises my skin without causing any breakouts or irritation. Honestly, I like using non-sticky and non-greasy skincare products. However, I can deal with this sticky face mist as it enhances my glow and imparts a healthy look to the skin. I keep it in the refrigerator to calm down skin inflammation during those hot, sunny days.
This hydradetox face mist is perfect for combination to dry skin beauties. Those with oily skin can try it during the winter season. It's definitely the best hydrating face mist I've tried so far (though Innisfree still holds a close second)!
I haven’t tried it with makeup, but if you do, use this mist only with water-based foundations or concealers; otherwise, it may separate your makeup and ruin the look!
