Hope, all is well at your end 😊. Today, I have decided to talk about my current favourite pink-red lipstick, Cherries in the snow 440 from the brand Revlon. By the way, do you know this particular Revlon lipstick shade has been around since the 1950s? A vintage lipstick indeed!! So to know more about this bright creamy lipstick, keep reading!

My Experience With Revlon Cherries In The Snow, 440:

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick range has more than 80 lip shades and is available in four different finishes- sheer, matte, crème & pearl. I picked up two lipsticks (Blushing nude & cherries in the snow) from the crème finish range.

Although this shade ‘cherries in the snow’ falls under cool-toned red lipstick category, I would refer it as a bold pink shade; straight & simple! It’s because this specific shade looks E.V.E.R.Y bit of Pink on my lips (maybe my warm skin tone effect, not sure)!! But at the same time, this looks red in artificial room light and in certain situations.

Texture:

Enough of shade detection! Coming to its texture, Revlon cherries in the snow, 440 has a creamy buttery texture, satin finish with no artificial fragrance or taste.

Packaging:

Talk about the packaging, it’s simple and beautiful. The lipstick comes in a gold & black designed plastic case with the twist-up mechanism and has a sturdy, transparent lid to showcase the lip shade. The ingredient details are labelled on the cap and the brand name is embossed on the packaging. Absolutely, travel-friendly.

Performance:

The lipstick bullet has a slightly curved shape enabling the quick &  precise application. It has a creamy texture which glides on effortlessly on the lips. What I love about this lipstick is it feels extremely comfortable and lightweight on my lips. As you may know, I have dry lips; I never skip lip balms before applying any lipstick including this one. Though this lipstick is pretty moisturizing, I would suggest using lip balms or lip primers prior to using it.

Revlon ‘Cherries in the snow’ is a highly pigmented lipstick delivering a full coverage finish. For my slightly pigmented lips, I need to swipe it two times to get that opaque coverage. And, o la la!! The shade instantly lifts & brightens my complexion and adds a pop of gorgeousness to my look. It has a satin sheen to it which looks great but you can also get the matte finish by just blotting it out.

Talk about feathering, it doesn’t feather/bleed. The shade stays on for a long time if left untouched! It cannot survive oily or heavy meal thus requires reapplication. The shade is not at all transfer/kiss proof! Fret not, it fades evenly and leaves behind a beautiful stain which looks as pretty as fresh nude lip shade. There were times when I applied this lipstick without lining or filling my lips with a lip liner. Must say, it didn’t disappoint me either!

(NBAM Beauty Tip: To stop lipstick feathering, you can apply clear mascara or brow gel around the outside of your lip line! I guess, now you got it why I had bought that clear mascara 😃)

• Application of lip balm is required prior to using it for people having dry lips.

Revlon ‘cherries in the snow, 440’ is a classic pink (or say red) lipstick that will look universally flattering on every skin tone. Just one swipe and it instantly brightens the face, lifts your mood and adds glam to the whole look! A super wearable, long-lasting lipstick saturated with rich pigments and moisturizing formula is perfect for those who are die-hard fans of glossy lipstick. From my side, it’s highly recommended!!
