Review: World of Ek Alankar Block Printed 100% Cotton Cushion Covers

I wish you all a lovely 2023! Every new year I try to change the look of my home, either by adding new curtains, cushions or some decorative pieces. This year I got an opportunity to try out a few products from the well-known Indian fashion brand World of Ek. I chose a neckpiece and 100% pure cotton Alankar block printed cushion covers. So, how was my shopping experience? Did I like the products? To know, keep reading!

My Shopping Experience with World of Ek & Cushion Covers Review:

The World of Ek website features traditional suits, dupattas, home decor stuff to charm jewelleries.

I ordered two products for myself - an evil eye necklace and pure cotton cushion covers. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the neckpiece. The brand completely forgot to place the product inside the packaging! Therefore, I received an empty box without the actual product 😢. Since I had to leave my town the next day, I didn’t file a complaint about the missing product.

However, the cushion covers arrived on time and came nicely packed in a soft cotton pouch with the brand name EK.

These indigo and yellow colored cushion covers are made of pure cotton fabric and natural dyes. The fabric quality is just awesome! 

Inspired by one of the most endearing patterns of all time, Ek’s ‘Alankar’ collection explores a combination of rich, intricate paisley patterns with a vivid colour play. I love this Alankar floral block print work so aesthetically pleasing!

A few years back, I purchased a salwar suit with almost the same Indigo block printing pattern. I wore that suit on many occasions and totally loved it. I am glad I got these cushion covers in the same hand-block print with natural dyes!

Since these are absolutely new, I haven’t yet washed them. However, kindly note you need to hand wash them separately as natural colours might bleed (saying from my experiences).

Overall, I am happy with these cushion covers. They look pretty and have enhanced the beauty of my living room. I wish the brand managers were more careful and sent me the neckpiece along with this cushion covers set.
