My Experience With Aroma Essentials Rose & Turmeric Soap:
I received this handmade soap as a PR sample with other beauty products I purchased from this all-natural Indian brand Aroma Essentials. I received this product a year back, and I am reviewing it now in 2021! That is why I love working with this brand and the owner Madhurima who never forced me to write reviews in a hurry. I guess she even forgot about it and other samples that she sent me for testing out 😜.

Now, I am not a fan of soap bars (natural/commercial), but my husband is! Given a choice, I’d always pick shower gels/face washes over soaps for my facial and body skin.
Also, let me put a disclaimer first! I haven’t tried this soap on my face (neither my husband). Hence I cannot comment on how it works as a facial soap!Now, coming to the packaging-

I mean, look at this soap carving - Oh So Cute :* A baby angel is sitting and praying to God/Universe. This soft brown colored soap is too cute to use!
The soap came wrapped in a silver foil packaging with a card displaying all the necessary details (price/quantity/key ingredients) about it.

Texture:
Aroma (Auraganic) Essentials rose & turmeric soap has a sweet fragrance and nice texture.
Performance:
Upon receiving this product, I was honestly a bit disappointed! Now, I know how on earth Madhurima would know that I dislike soap bars 🙈! LOL! However, after seeing its cute design, I had to change my thoughts 😉.

Despite having an SLS (harsh and irritating ingredient sodium laurel sulfate) free soap base, it produces a rich lather when it mixes with water (we use hard water, yet the soap lathers well). Oh, I love foamy bubbles, do you? Besides, the cute angel soap carving not only enhances its beauty but also helps in holding the soap well. I hate when a soap bar slips out of my hands. In this case, the angel carving provides a no-slip grip!
This rose & turmeric soap from Aroma Essentials is composed of some wonderful ingredients like glycerin, rice bran oil, liquorice, etc. The presence of wild turmeric and rose oil makes it even more powerful and beneficial to the skin.
Aroma Essentials rose & turmeric soap cleanser is effective against dirt and impurities. For example, one day husband & I decided to reorganize our messy living room and bedroom. As usual post-work, we had to take a shower to clean the dirt and grime off skin. We both used this soap and came out of the bathroom with super fresh, clean skin afterwards.
For my dry skin, I always look for hydrating shower gels/cleansers. But even though the soap has moisturising agents, it dried out my skin both in the winter and hot summer seasons (again, we use hard water, which makes our skin feel extra dry). I had to use body oil and lotion afterwards to moisturise my dry skin. The soap never irritated my skin, though!

However, my husband who is blessed with oily skin loved this soap. He doesn’t like a slippery feeling after using a soap/shower gel, no matter what. And this turmeric rose soap from Auraganic Essentials provided him a squeaky clean skin with no slippery feel! See, when you have a partner with the opposite skin type/tone, no product gets wasted (*win-win situation*) 😁. So if you are someone who is like my husband, this soap bar is for you ❤️.
I kept this bar in a soap dish. Even after using the soap for a long time, the bar didn’t lose its shape or melt away easily. The soap will last you long.

Will I purchase this particular rose & turmeric variant?
The answer is no! Aroma Essentials brand always make customized skincare product for their customers. So next time, I’ll pick something more refreshing, energizing variants like lemon/lemongrass (anything spicy, citrusy scented) infused soap bar for my husband, as I am not fond of soap bars!
