My Experience With Rustic Art Delight Biodegradable Aloe Shampoo:
(My hair type: Oily scalp and dry hair ends, dandruff-prone)
In 2016, I received this product as a PR sample from Qtrove website, but unfortunately, I couldn’t review it at that time. You may ask, why? It’s because that year, we required shifting our maximum household stuff from Pune to Odisha (India) and Hong Kong. Thus everything got messed up during that transit process and I thought I lost this product. In 2017, when I visited my in-laws' place, there I found this shampoo hiding in a bag and so I started using this product again. Now, I have finished it hence sharing my views with you all.
PS: Sharing the ugly pictures of this used bottle because I forgot to take photos of the fresh product packaging.
Packaging! |
Product Packaging:
Rustic Art Aloe shampoo comes in a long, translucent plastic bottle with a firm flip cap. The product-related details are labelled as a sticker on the packaging. It is travel-friendly but for safety; I wrapped the bottle with scotch tape. And the tape adhesive ruined half of the product details on the packaging, see the pictures!!
Texture! |
Product Texture:
The texture of Rustic Art Delight Biodegradable Aloe Shampoo is a gel type with a semi-thick consistency. It has a mild herbal scent and is transparent, just like aloe vera gel.

How did I use?
I used to take a tiny amount of this shampoo to clean my hair depending on whether my hair is dry or oily. To remove oil from the hair, it requires twice the amount or washes; otherwise, a little amount would suffice the purpose!! I usually dilute all kinds of shampoos with water before applying on my hair. After thoroughly massaging my hair, I would rinse with normal tap water, followed by hair conditioner.

What was my expectation of this product?
Nothing special! My expectation for any hair cleanser is that it should clean my scalp properly causing no dryness/itchiness and add some amount of volume and shine.
Product Performance:
As a hair cleanser, this aloe shampoo does a great job and lived up to the mark of my expectation. It cleanses the scalp without stripping off its natural oil, provided excess product wasn’t used! Even though it’s an SLS/SLES free shampoo, it forms a rich lather and smells pleasant. The fragrance doesn’t linger for long, though!
Post hair wash, it would make my scalp squeaky clean, add volume, lustre and bounce to the hair. However, I needed to condition my hair afterwards with a nice moisturizing conditioner. The shampoo gets easily washed off, leaving no residue behind. In my case, a single wash with double the amount of shampoo was enough to get rid of oiliness. It may vary in your case.
Rustic Art Biodegradable Aloe Shampoo For All Hair Types |
Rustic Art Aloe shampoo contains biodegradable, non-toxic and relatively safe ingredients and is also cruelty-free plus vegan. So it’s a great alternative to readily available harmful chemical-laden hair cleansers. However, if you have dry hair, never think of skipping conditioner or pre-oiling because this shampoo is certainly not for the rough, parched hair types. Although it kept my scalp oil-free for up to three days, it couldn’t tame the hair flyaways at all!!
All hair types, if used in the right way, can use this hair cleanser! It’s great for normal and fine hair types (adds volume & lustre), good for oily hair types (clean scalp, no itching, shiny hair) but slightly tricky for the dry hair types (must follow pre-oiling technique and hair conditioner steps). Lastly, it neither controlled my hair fall nor helped in controlling the hair breakage!!

Mercy, I am a kindhearted consumer/blogger when it comes to rating a product :D Hehe!! It's actually a great shampoo for oily & fine hair but not that good for dry hair types.
DeleteI have never seen this type of shampoo before. It looks like it would be so awesome for hair like mine that can be uncontrollable at times.
ReplyDeleteThis shampoo is not that great at controlling hair frizziness :( But applying a conditioner afterwards can make your hair smooth and manageable!
DeleteI will have to check this out. My hair type ranges to slightly oily so I could use this. Although sorry it doesn't work for people with more dry hair too.

DeleteSulphate free shampoo is always the best one to use though it doesn't lather much. But this one gives rich lather and nice smell so it's definitely a great find.
