Review: Nature’s Gate Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Shampoo & Conditioner

Happy Monday,

Hope all of you had a great weekend 😊. Today, I am going to review Nature’s Gate Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Shampoo and Conditioner. They both are SLS, Paraben, & Soy free hair-care products. I had no idea about this brand “Nature’s Gate” until I spotted it at A&M US Groceries store, HK last year. I chose this shampoo & conditioner set for my dry, damaged tresses so without any further delay, let’s move onto the review!

How to use Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Shampoo:

Massage a generous amount of Jojoba + Sacred Lotus shampoo gently into wet hair and scalp. Work into a rich lather and then rinse thoroughly. For best results do follow it with Nature’s Gate Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Conditioner.

My Experience with Nature’s Gate Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Shampoo:

(My hair type: Oily scalp +dry ends, dandruff-prone)

Nature’s Gate Revitalizing shampoo with Jojoba + Sacred Lotus comes in a huge white coloured opaque plastic bottle with a sturdy flip top cap. The packaging has all the details related to this hair cleanser. It is pretty bulky so not at all travel-friendly. The shampoo looks transparent and has a runny consistency and gel type texture. It has a mild herbal fragrance that goes away soon after hair wash.

In spite of being an SLS free shampoo, it produces rich lather when applied on wet hair! The shampoo gets easily washed off with plain water leaving no residues behind. I require using a little amount of it to clean my mid-waist length hair but if the hair is oily, double the amount/hair wash is needed to get rid of the oil. It keeps my hair clean, oil-free for up to three days. The shampoo doesn’t dry out the hair but should be followed by a conditioner for better result.

Texture!

It doesn’t provide any instant shine or nourishment but certainly adds bounce and volume to the hair. A few months back, my oily scalp suddenly became too much dry. During that time, whenever I used to wash my hair with this shampoo, it would dry out my scalp more and itch a lot! So I had to stop using this hair cleanser completely for a few weeks. Later, when I again started using it, everything was good. No dryness, no scalp itching at all. Even though, the label says it’s for dry, thin hair; I would say this is perfect for normal to oily hair types than dry!

NBAM Rating: 4.8/5

My Experience With Nature’s Gate Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Conditioner:

Similar to the shampoo, this conditioner also comes in a huge, opaque green colored bottle with a firm flip top cap. This revitalizing conditioner is white in colour and has a thick, creamy texture. It has a headache-causing strong fragrance which I absolutely dislike.

After washing my hair with Jojoba + Sacred Lotus shampoo, I take a coin-sized amount of this Nature’s Gate revitalizing conditioner and apply it all through my hair length. I gently massage my hair and leave it on for about one-two minutes before rinsing the hair. Unlike the shampoo, this conditioner requires a good amount of water and effort to wash it off.

Texture!

Post usage, my tresses look and feel smooth, shiny and silky! I do feel it's the perfect conditioner for dry, rough hair. I can run my fingers through the wet hair easily and smoothly. Mind you, this revitalizing conditioner boasts no parabens, SLS and phthalates. Score!  It makes hair manageable, smooth and frizz-free. I like this conditioner a bit more because it pairs with all my other hair cleansers so well.

All I can say, both the shampoo and conditioner are not free of chemicals yet better than other commercial hair care products that I have used so far. Sadly, the combination of magical ingredients like Jojoba, Horsetail extract and Sacred Lotus did nothing to control my hair fall or breakage issue! Hence I look forward to trying out other variants from this brand.

To conclude,

Nature’s Gate Jojoba + Sacred Lotus Revitalizing Shampoo & Conditioner both are made for each other and work amazing as a pair on the hair. While the revitalizing shampoo adds volume & bounce to the limp & fine hair, the conditioner adds the much-needed hydration and smoothing effect to the dry, damaged hair.

  1. I appreciate your honest reviews! I tend to switch from dry to oily to combination as well, depending on the season.

  2. My hair is thin, but not dry by any means. The only time it gets dried out is when I am in the pool too often during the summer. But this describes my sister's hair very well, and I know she likes the combo shampoo/conditioner more than I do, so I'll share this with her.
